Development Team Lead - Traffic Acquisition

What you will do

You will build and lead a small development team of 3 engineers - helping them grow and develop themselves. You will cooperate with the Scrum Master, Product Owner, SEO, and Marketing specialists daily. The team works hybrid - 3 days in the office.

As the name suggests, the Traffic Acquisition team is responsible for Traffic Acquisition. Their main mission is pretty obvious then - to increase Heureka's most important channel - traffic. This can be done either through paid traffic or by improving SEO strategy. Traffic is king!

Your time as a team lead will be divided into three areas

• Leadership & People management 
• Engineering
• Product

The expected ratio among L/E/P is approximately 20/70/10 and it might change over time as the team grows. Engineering (coding, tech. discovery, setting right engineering processes) will take the most of your time. Thus we are looking for a Leader with a strong passion for Engineering.

Leadership activities include, for example

• Leading an empowered team of 2-3 Engineers. You will be helping them grow and develop themselves. Our Career Journey framework will guide your way in this area.
• You will be part of the so-called Team Lead Circle
• Closely cooperating with Tech Heads, Team Leads, Tech Leads and Product Managers of other teams.
• Together with the Product Manager, Scrum-Master and other Stakeholders, you will be coming up with the Team Goals and taking responsibility for the delivery.
• You will be responsible for the hiring process of your team.
• You are the team budget owner

Tech stack is

• Python
• We have some microservices in Golang, but it doesn't matter if you don't know about it. We can teach you on that
• NoSQL database (such as MongoDB or Redis)
• GIT
• Knowledge of tools like: GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes and Grafana will help you
• We run most of the microservices in GCP
