Platform Engineer

Our IT department is responding to the growth of Notino, and therefore we are currently looking for another talented colleague for the position of Platform Engineer.

What is it about?

The Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing software platforms that support the development and operations of applications. This specialist focuses on ensuring the scalability, performance, security, and reliability of the development platform using DevOps principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Design and Development:

• Create and maintain scalable and robust platforms for internal and external applications.
• Implement platform solutions and ensure their effective utilization.

Containerization and Orchestration:

• Implement and manage container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) to enhance application efficiency, flexibility and reliability.

Automation:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD framework for continuous integration and deployment of applications.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor platform performance and availability, resolve incidents, and optimize systems for better performance.

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure platform security and protection against security threats.
• Adhere to best practices and standards for security and compliance.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with development teams, IT department, and other relevant partners.
• Provide technical support and training to teams for effective platform utilization.
• Work in accordance with DevOps culture principles and actively promote these principles to development teams.

How do we imagine you?

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Experience with .NET/TypeScript application development.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English at B1 level.

Extra mile for us:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform).
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools like Flux/ArgoCD.
